About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

Join us at London Transport Museum for Improving local bus priority - a FREE CPD session, followed by optional lunch, designed to help local authorities deliver safe, effective, and value for money bus priority schemes, while balancing active travel objectives. This session will cover:

  • Module 1: Making the case for bus priority - exploring what makes bus journeys important for local communities and how best to access available funding.
  • Module 2: Small changes, big impact – maximising bus priority with less resources and low-cost interventions - we’ll host 1:1 surgery sessions focusing on your individual borough and the interventions that are available to improve bus priority across the network.
  • Module 3: Best practice approach to modelling - a step-by-step guide to process, modelling outputs and how best to present modelling schemes that impact the bus network, hosted by our in-house modelling team who work closely with both Transport for London and boroughs.

One of the ten Healthy Streets Scorecard indicator, bus priority is recognised as a key measure to deliver more efficient use of road space - improving speeds and reliability for bus passengers.

This is the second event hosted by the Healthy Streets Scorecard Coalition and Project Centre, as part of a series aimed at building capacity, sharing knowledge, and supporting high-quality delivery across London’s boroughs. Our goal is to help boroughs enhance their performance on the Healthy Streets Scorecard and continue driving improvements in urban transport and public space. With the 2025 Scorecard announced in early July, the Healthy Streets Scorecard Coalition would also like to use this opportunity to thank members for their engagement with the scorecard this year.

This workshop is open to, and free to attend, for London local authorities. Places are limited and will be on a first come, first-served basis. Officers within active travel, traffic, transport and highways are encouraged to attend. Register today!

We look forward to seeing you there!
