FOR WAKEFIELD GENERAL PRACTICE STAFF ONLY

This interactive session aimed at reception and admin staff explores the term “customer service” in primary care. Increasingly we are viewing our patients as our ‘customers’ and this workshop looks at what we can learn from our customer relations services in the corporate world – as many core principles are rooted in the same excellent services. A happy customer not only returns, but feeds back to the wider community and this is what our patients should do.

We will discuss how to demonstrate and maintain a positive approach when dealing with patients, endorsing the wider team’s approach to build positive relationships with the patient and their carers. We will also look at why it is important to deal with comments that we may find hurtful or challenging or even personal, and how good customer service skills can help us to learn from these experiences.

An Outlook calendar invite will be sent out after booking and a joining link will be sent out closer to the time of the session so make sure the email address you have provided is accessed before the session.

If you are booking more than one person on the session you need to ensure an email address is provided for each person
