Improving Patient Safety: Learning Together

This national learning event will bring together clinical and improvement teams and leaders involved or interested in the SPSP Acute Adult Collaborative.

Aims of the day:

  • Share collaborative improvement work with a focus on the Essentials of Safe Care, falls and deteriorating patient
  • Provide a networking and learning opportunity for SPSP Acute Adult Collaborative teams
  • Offer an opportunity for delegates from both work streams to come together within their boards and plan next steps.

How can I attend this event?

The morning session will be offered as a hybrid event. Delegates will have the option to attend in person or register to participate via MS Teams. The afternoon sessions will take place in person only.

This Eventbrite page is for delegates wishing to attend the morning session only via MS Teams. A separate Eventbrite registration is available below for delegates wishing to attending the full event in person at Radisson Blu Hotel Glasgow is below.

On registration you will receive confirmation of the type of session you have registered for. Virtual delegates will be sent an MS Teams link and instructions on how to join the session.

By following this link you are registering for the virtual event. You do not need to have a MS Teams account, but you may need to download the app if you plan to join us using a mobile device. On the day, you will need a computer and an internet connection. Please join 5 mins before the event starts. Delegates will also have access to an online event page that will contain further information on the event, including agenda, speakers, meeting links and supporting resources.

Our purpose for collecting this information is so we can facilitate the webinar or live broadcast event and provide wider access to its content. What data do we collect and how do we collect it?

When you sign up to take part in our events, we collect your personal data using a third party, Eventbrite. The data includes your:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Organisation/ NHS Board/Health and Social Care Partnership
  • Job title
  • Area of work

When you join the webinar via MS Teams, we collect:

  • IP address – connections to Microsoft Teams will capture the IP address of the participant
  • Display Name – this is collected from the participants joining details
  • Brower type - if browser is used instead of Teams App
  • Self-image (if video is shared)
  • Audio (if mic is used)
  • We may also ask you additional, non-personal questions in relation to the webinar.

Why do we collect this information?

We will use this information to ensure you can join the webinar and provide follow up information in relation to the webinar such as joining instructions or post event communication.

Any additional questions we ask is to provide insight in relation to the event. This information may be presented during the event and used to improve our services. We may state your name during the event if you have submitted questions to ask in advance. If you have given consent for us to contact you regarding future events, your information will also be used for this. You have the right to withdraw any personal information at any time. Where will your data be stored?

E-Mail addresses, Phone numbers and Display Name will be stored in the virtual meeting room, within Exchange Online, MS Stream (Video Recording) and within our own internal system. Your information is not shared with any third parties.

It should be noted that Eventbrite holds data on servers outside the European Economic Area (EEA). While Eventbrite is signed up to the EU-US Privacy Shield, and its’ procedures have been updated to align with new data protection laws, we advise that you read the current Eventbrite terms and conditions and privacy policy before providing your personal data. Eventbrite will flag its own purposes for processing bookers’ personal data, connected to marketing and so on.

Privacy during and after the event

The event will be held on Microsoft Teams. We intend to take a recording of the event which we intend to publish on our social media channels and our website. Microsoft Teams has a chat function, any comments you make during the event will be viewable during and after the event by participants. Chat comments will not be viewable in the recording. We may use comments made on the event in future documents however this will be anonymous.
