Improving Productivity through Compassionate Leadership

Productivity relies on us building engagement in our organisations. This requires us to look carefully at our leadership and management capability, our culture and values and how we encourage the discretionary effort needed for growth.

In this session, Michael will

Explore the elements of engagement that we often don’t have the chance to consider. Resilience and compassion can have significant implications for increasing productivity and improving performance in business.

Present Roffey Park’s latest research into how resilient we are and how we might enhance this, both as individuals and at an organisational level.

Explore the role of compassion in the workplace and how leaders can reposition compassion in a way that is meaningful, actionable and delivers results

Introduce Roffey Park’s compassion model and discuss practical approaches to fostering compassion, drawing on examples from groups and organisations around the world, who are developing more caring, kinder and more human work environments

Speaker: Michael Jenkins. CEO ROFFEY PARK

Michael joined Roffey Park as Chief Executive in 2009. He regularly speaks at conferences on leadership related topics and has a keen interest in leadership in a global context. Michael has given presentations on leadership “East-West, North-South” and strategic direction and change.  Michael contributed to the 2013 publication "The 50 Best Business Leaders" (Future Publishing) and was named by HR Magazine in the UK as one of the top 20 HR Thinkers in 2013.
