About this Event

Transition your arable or mixed farming operation into a regenerative agriculture system using the soil health principles.

Course Outcomes

• Reviewing and analysing your successes/failures in the season

• Finding more ways to implement soil health principles in your management operations

• Using amendments & foliar nutrients to enhance plant performance/photosynthesis

• Design your own cover crop mixes

• Design a composting system for your operation

• Review/critique of crop rotation in practice


• Plant nutrition & plant health

• Soil nutrient balancing, amendments and mineral applications

• Monitoring plant health: Brix testing, sap pH

• Selecting & using lab testing: soil minerals, base saturation

• Building soil organic matter, foliar/sap analysis

• Composting systems & upcycling manure resources – applied theory

• Review of your season so far, with feedback from group and tutor

• Data gathering & monitoring review

Niels Corfield Biog

Niels Corfield has been working to deliver truly sustainable food and farming systems for more than 15 years. He is a researcher, adviser, educator, designer and tree nurseryman.

He has 12 years’ experience teaching adults and is formally trained in Holistic Management and Regenerative Agriculture Design.

On a mission to create regenerative landscapes and farms in the UK and Europe, Niels focuses on agroecological systems that are low maintenance yet productive.

His clients include:
