Improving the food system through AGM Activism: How can you get involved?
Tue 28 March 2017, 18:00 – 20:30 BST
Imagine yourself sipping tea and chatting to the CEO of McDonald's, Sainsbury's, or Kraft Heinz. What would you say?
We want to get you to the annual meetings of the UK’s biggest corporations to hold their boards to account on the social, environmental and health impacts of their farming practices! Are you up for it? Are you up for that cup of tea? Then come to our first meeting of ShareAction's Food team!
This AGM season we plan to ramp up the pressure to push all the food companies in the FTSE 100 to become more sustainable.
It doesn't matter if you aren't a financial expert or don't own any shares - we'll sort this out! Just show up at our first meeting of the year and we'll train you into becoming a kick-ass AGM activist. You'll also have the chance to hear about everything else we do to make our food system more sustainable, and feed in into our strategy. Sounds great? Then come to the first meeting of the year of ShareAction's Food team!
When? 28th of March 2017, from 6pm to 8.30pm
Where? ShareAction offices, 16 Crucifix Lane, SE 3JW
Why? Because factory farming presents important environmental, public health, and social risks - and you have the power to change this.
Any questions? Drop Jeanne a line on firstname.lastname@example.org - she will be super happy to answer any questions you may have.
See you there!
Ps: We will have pizza!
