If you wish to book this course or have any queries please email us on schools@literacytrust.org.uk
Developed in partnership with the Education Endowment Fund (EEF) and the Calderdale Excellence Partnership (CEP), this course is currently supporting over 5,000 children in 5 areas of the country.
The training helps teachers to develop strategies to take their pupils beyond scaffolded writing, build their confidence and self-assessment skills and help them tackle writing challenges across different text types.
This is a one and a half day CPD course for literacy leaders and Key Stage 2 teachers.
Organised by
The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that transforms lives through literacy.
We work to improve the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in the UK's most disadvantaged communities, where up to 40 per cent of people have literacy problems. Our research and analysis make us the leading authority on literacy and drive our interventions. Because low literacy is intergenerational, we focus our work on families, young people and children.
- We establish literacy projects in the poorest communities
- We campaign to make literacy a priority for politicians and parents
- We support schools
