“Improving your doctoral experience" Supporting postgraduate students’ learning transitions
We will be holding a number of workshops to explore your experiences of studying at postgraduate level with the aim of supporting PG learning through the development of resources informed by our research. You can make a real difference.
Who are we? We are The Researching Assessment Practices Team (RAP); staff and students working on enhancing understandings of student and staff entitlement as part of our Maximising Student Success HEFCE work which aims to ensure that our approach to student supervision is inclusive. What is the role of the student and the lecturer in the process? How can we enhance what we do? We are working with SUSU in partnership with you on this initiative. We are interested to hear of your learning experiences and we hope that you can help us produce some useful resources to inform enhancements in provision within the university which is key to the University Simply Better Strategy.
How do we best support the PGR learning journey?
We hope you and your peers will be able to support this initiative. We are running workshops on the dates indicated below. Refreshments will be provided (Lunch or Tea!). You will have an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the development of recommendations on how we can better understand and support PGR student transitions. What has been helpful to you and what could be improved? Your views matter. Please come along and make a difference! Join RAP and make an impact. To sign up just go to Eventbrite and register for one or more of the four sessions – the links are provided below. Any questions? email rapcom@soton.ac.uk
