About this event

W ho is this training for?

This training webinar is aimed at all practitioners in any setting who use measures in their support for children and young people’s mental wellbeing.

It is not intended to be an introduction to using measures (we recommend that anyone new to this work consider attending 'Introduction to outcome measures' - also provided by CORC - on Monday 13 October 2025).

How can we get better results?

A proven way to improve any form of practice, be it playing golf or providing specialist mental health treatment, is by engaging in deliberate practice; while regular practice might include mindless repetitions, deliberate practice requires focused attention and is conducted with the specific goal of improving performance. Such deliberate practice, in the support for children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing, is supported by the focused use of outcome and feedback monitoring and measuring.

This training enables you to understand more about this way of working and how to integrate it into your practice.

Aims of this training:

The focus of the session is on using a combination of measures to improve practice and get better results. It will explore deliberate practice; incorporating client and expert feedback alongside outcome monitoring with the specific goal of improving performance.

Learning outcomes:

Attendees will -

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of deliberate practice
  • Become confident to integrate it into their routine practice

Organised by

We recognise the value of providing the right environment to learn and listen to our CORC members, partners and other stakeholders. Our annual conferences and seminars are the ideal events to expand one’s knowledge on outcome measurement and to meet new contacts in the mental health and education sector. Some of these activities are highly focused on current research findings and in some cases these seminars are lead and/or co-produced by CORC members or young people.
