You are invited to join CSF and IfA at the FREE event

'Improving Your Soil Organic Matter'

An interactive workshop on building soil organic matter for soil health and fertility.

Guest speakers include Stephen Briggs, Nuffield Scholar and Joe Collins from Innovation for Agriculture

Workshop Agenda:

10:30 CSF and soil issues in the catchment.

11.00 The basics of soils and improving soil organic matter, including cultivations, soil biology, physics and chemistry, organic matter impact on loss of nutrients and soil, and weed control.

12:30 Lunch.

13:00 Increasing soil organic matter, including cover crops and green manures, compost, sewage sludge, biochar, incorporated straw, rotations and re-introducing livestock to the arable farm, and organic manures.

15:30 Depart.

Lunch will be provided.
