Join Nathan Woodling, a lecturer at the University of Glasgow for a masterclass in STEM Communication Skills. During the session he will share advice on effective scientific writing and presentation skills. Nathan will get you to consider the type of language and vocabulary you are using and who the audience is.


Dr Nathan Woodling is a Lecturer and leader of a research lab at the University of Glasgow, where his team investigates the genes that contribute to brain ageing and diseases such as Alzheimer's and other dementias. Originally from the US, Nathan studied Biology and Neuroscience at Emory University in Georgia, then went on to pursue PhD research in Neuroscience at Stanford University in California. He then moved to London for postdoctoral research at UCL before starting his independent lab in Glasgow in 2022. Outside of lab work, Nathan enjoys yoga, board games, and time with his French Bulldog Frodo.

In addition to running an award-winning summer programme which transitioned to a virtual format in 2020 in response to Covid-19, they run events and workshops throughout the year to provide ongoing support to In2scienceUK students and alumni.
