In this workshop, we teach beginner to advanced female dancers how to embrace their sensual, powerful, nurturing and creative core energy. You experience and develop your unstoppable presence, assertive confidence and unleash your pure loving joy. Includes improvisational dance, movement meditation and chakra balancing. You'll also be able to do basic belly dance movements and start dancing freely by the end of the training!
This class is NOT for you if you want to:
- learn belly dancing to look sexy for others
- memorize a specific choreography you can keep repeating with a specific music
This IS for you if you want to:
- Explore the limits of your body
- Feel your own energy
- Learn to truly hear rhythm and to move to it
Bring lots of water, a towel and veils/scarves if you have them. Please only bring belly dance scarves with fringes. Do NOT bring belly dance scarves with pennies or jingles that make sounds. We will dance barefoot, let our hair loose and enjoy the moment in an accepting, loving and affirming sisterhood.

Your instructor will be Funda Yilmaz. She is an artist, therapist and dancer who has perfomed twice at Atlanta Jazz Festival and routinely lets her joy flow in live-music events around our town. She attributes rediscovering her inner sense of physical power to belly dancing.
Location is a beatiful art gallery with hardwood floors and a great ambiance newly established in the heart of Historic West End. You can park right next to the building on Peeples St.
