Improvised music from Birmingham, and All Are Welcome group improvisation

Chaos? upstairs at the NLT is happy to welcome Taverner’s Teapot as guests for this evening. This extended and revolving collective from Birmingham including sax, voice, keys, and percussion will present a set based in free improvisation.
Following a set of their music, the usual All Are Welcome improvisation invites the audience to either join in with a sound, or to direct the improvised compostion using materials produced at a previous Chaos? night.

Taverner’s Teapot are a free improvised, psychedelic, jazz influenced, ambient collective of 12 people (10 musicians and two poets), Seven musicians will be playing on the 29th of October for Chaos?
Influences are eclectic and many: 70s Miles Davis, Zappa, Beefheart, Gong, Derek Bailey, Coltrane, Laswell, AMM.
All are experienced musicians - Bassist Trevor Lines has played with Tal Farlowe and Chris Long on keyboards has played with Gorillaz and Basement Jaxx.
