About this event

  • 10 hours 30 minutes

IKCA’s Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge awaits intrepid adventurers who believe they can scale Yorkshire’s glorious mountain peaks in one day. We’re talking Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough!

That’s 25 miles in 12 hours. Are you up for it?

Pen-y-ghent (2,277 ft), Ingleborough (2,372 ft) and Whernside (2,415 ft) are the most popular peaks in Yorkshire. Located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, they form part of the Pennine range that encircles the heads of the valleys of the River Ribble and Chapel-le-Dale.

When: Saturday 17, August 2024 - 7.30 AM

Meeting Point: Pen-y-ghent Café, Horton in Ribblesdale, Settle, North Yorkshire, BD24 0HE

During the trek, please respect the natural beauty of Yorkshire 3 Peaks and follow Leave No Trace principles. Do not litter, stay on designated paths, and be mindful of the environment.

Fundraising:

There is a £150 minimum fundraising target and £19.99 Registration Fee. This will cover event management expenses such as the fees of trek guides, light refreshments for the trek, and first aid. The amount that you raise will go directly towards providing free cancer treatment for needy patients at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospitals in Lahore and Peshawar.

To make fundraising easier, we recommend setting up a JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/Shaukat. It’s quick, easy and saves you from having to collect wads of cash. Once you’ve got one, all you’ll need to do is forward your JustGiving page link to friends and contacts, and they can donate online, directly to Imran Khan Cancer Appeal. You can also share updates and pictures on JustGiving so everyone who sponsors you can keep track of your progress. Your efforts make a significant impact on our cause, and every contribution counts.
