Event description
What can you do to ensure your ACCA students have the best chance of success?

About this event

The ACCA qualification is challenging and is designed to test students in a number of different areas. However, in the modern world where days run into each other and work life balance is top of the agenda, many are struggling to find time to study and complete their exams.

It is imperative for mentors and leaders to create a supportive environment that is conducive to learning, while encouraging excellent professional performance.

How can this be achieved?

iMultiply are hosting this event in conjunction with ACCA Scotland to offer some insight on how to effectively support ACCA students through their qualification. The event has three aims;

1. To outline the fundamentals of the qualification,

2. Highlight the real challenges students face,

3. Discuss how you can be a successful mentor.

We will be hearing from our panel of experts including, Fiona MacPhee FCCA, Business Development manager of ACCA, Gillian McCreadie, Chair of the ACCA Scotland Committee and Marisha Czoski, ACCA Gold medal winner.

This fireside discussion will give you the opportunity to question our panel and gain valuable insight and real-life examples of what to expect when supporting an ACCA student through their qualification. It will also be enlightening for those who are interested in becoming a mentor.

More about our panel:

Fiona MacPhee:

Fiona initially joined ACCA to carry out practice monitoring reviews within the Governance directorate and in 2012 she transferred into the Markets directorate with a role in business development where she currently advises employers from all sectors in the UK about the ACCA qualifications and career progression.

Gillian McCreadie ACCA:

Gillian is Chair of the ACCA Scotland committee which aims to raise the profile of ACCA Scotland. She is also a Business Services Manager at Robb Ferguson Chartered Accountants, which is an independent Scottish firm of Chartered Accountants with offices in Glasgow city centre.

Marisha Czoski:

Marisha won the Gold Medal in 2019 after scoring the combined highest mark worldwide in the ACCA Professional level papers. She currently works in Financial Services in Edinburgh and has recently achieved ACCA membership.
