In Balance: a morning of yoga & meditation
Come along to this workshop where we will explore techniques to relax the body and still the mind.
More than ever, with our increasingly busy lives, finding a way to slow down and create space for ourselves is vital to maintain our health and wellbeing. It can also help improve the way in which we interact with others and the world around us.
We will start with a gentle warm up to stretch the muscles and asanas (postures) that will prepare us for meditation, learning to hold the body in a steady position with the least effort.
Through the practice of breathing techniques (pranayama) we will help establish regular breathing patterns that bring both physical and mental stability.
We will then use guided meditation and yoga nidra (conscious sleep) to learn how to concentrate our mind and detach from external distractions.
Workshops will run on Saturday 13th May, 24 June and 22 July from 10am-12midday with time to chat over a cup of tea afterwards.
