Description

A conversation with Christina Moutsou and Val Parks

Christina will talk about her book Fictional Clinical Narratives. There will be readings from her book which takes the form of short stories about adolescents and then follows them into later years when they are in therapy, as well as other short stories from a female and male therapist's points of view. We see dramatised vividly both the analysand's experiences and those of the analyst.

Christina and Val will also talk about Christina’s psychoanalytic novel, 'Layers' and wider areas of ideas around fiction, imagination, fantasy and their relation to ‘real life’ including the encounters in the consulting room.

Christina Moutsou is a Cambridge graduate in Social Anthropology and a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice. She is a member of The Site.

Val Parks is a Site member in private practice and is chair of the London Training Committee of The Site.

There will also be a bookstall with books by Site Members.
