Event description

Description

Tessa Murdoch, Head of Metalwork at the Victoria and Albert Museum, introduces a selection of silver from the national collection, from the medieval to the present day. She discusses its potential to inspire contemporary British silversmiths with Juliette Bigley and Miriam Hanid, whose work has recently been acquired by the museum, and Eric Turner, curator of 20th-century and contemporary metalwork.

Following the talk, guests are encouraged to accompany the speakers to the Whiteley Silver Galleries.
