London Korean Film Festival returns to Kingston with another exciting film guest, Scattered Night director Kim Sol

About this Event

London Korean Film Festival returns to Kingston with another exciting film guest. Representing the very latest school of independent Korean filmmakers, Kim Sol might be a recent graduate, but her feature-length debut (co-directed with fellow student Lee Jihyoung) has already garnered the attention of renowned international film festivals and industry professionals.

Screening as this year’s LKFF Closing Night, the film, Scattered Night, was awarded the Grand Prix (Korean competition) and Best Acting (Moon Seung-a) at the Jeonju International Film Festival in May earlier this year. In September it traveled to the San Sebastian International Film Festival, as part of its New Directors selection.

During the ‘In Conversation’ session, Kim Sol will share her experience of the film festival circuit as well as discuss the process of developing a feature with a writing and directing partner, their take on creative collaboration, working in tandem and sharing the limelight.
