Event description

Description

Join us for an inspirational TBE Female Founders Club evening with special guests Gemma Young, co-founder of Settled, and Saasha Celestial-One, co-founder of Olio.

Gemma has been involved with internet businesses for well over a decade and is passionate about improving people’s everyday lives through technology. She joined one of the UK’s first online agencies and subsequently joined what was (back then) a ‘start-up’; Google. During her career at this now global brand she worked across Silicon Valley, Europe and Africa. Gemma has been on the front line of industries being transformed by the Internet, and, having also previously spent time as an estate agent, Gemma combined her experience of technology and property and created Settled with the dream of making moving easier for everyone.

Saasha is the daughter of Iowa hippy entrepreneurs (hence the origin of my last name, Celestial-One – which her parents made up!) and grew up in a large, relatively poor family. She spent much of her childhood accompanying her Mother on various missions to rescue things that other people had discarded. In salvaging and reselling these unwanted items, not only did Saasha earn pocket money, but learned that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. When Tessa, our co-founder, told me about her idea for a food sharing app I instantly knew it was genius and that I wanted to be a part of the journey bringing it to life.

There is a small £5.00 entry fee for non TBE Club members. A further payment link will be sent to you once you have booked your ticket for this event. Your ticket will not be valid until the payment is completed.
