Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

An intimate evening with one of Scotland's most exicting literary talents.

Graeme Macrae Burnet was brought up Kilmarnock and now lives in Glasgow. He has also lived in the Czech Republic, France, Portugal and London. His French-set debut The Disappearance of Adèle Bedeau was a cult hit and won him a Scottish Book Trust New Writers’ Award. His second novel, His Bloody Project, was shortlisted for the 2016 Man Booker prize, the LA Times Crime Book of the Year, and won the Satire Prize for Fiction. It has been variously described as “astonishing”, “fiendishly readable” and “spellbinding” and is set to be translated into more than fifteen languages. His third novel, The Accident on the A35, will be published in October 2017.

The first in our series of Woodlands Writers events. Graeme will be interviewed by Woodlands Community Trust's manager Tim Cowen, but with plenty of chance for you to participate in the conversation too.
