About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Join us for a compelling In Conversation event as Ivor Novello winning composer Nainita Desai sits down with GRAMMY-winning, EMMY and BAFTA-nominated composer Lorne Balfe for an exclusive live interview.

With a career spanning blockbuster films, hit TV shows, video games, and award-winning documentaries, Lorne Balfe is one of the most versatile and in-demand composers working today. His recent credits include Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Top Gun: Maverick, Life on Our Planet, Black Widow, and Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl—a body of work that reflects not only his musical range but his ability to bring bold storytelling to life across genres and platforms.

Guiding the conversation is Nainita Desai, an accomplished composer in her own right with recent Emmy & Ivor Novello wins and multiple RTS, and World Soundtrack Awards. With her deep understanding of the craft and the industry, Nainita brings a unique perspective to this conversation—asking the questions only a fellow composer can.

Together, they’ll explore Lorne’s creative process, his journey from a teenage jingle-writer in Scotland to scoring some of the biggest productions in Hollywood, and what it takes to stay innovative in an ever-evolving media composing landscape.

Join us for an exclusive one hour chat on Monday 30th June, 3pm.
