About this event

On Thursday 28th April, we’re absolutely thrilled to share that we’ll be hosting a very special event we’re calling ‘In Conversation with Great British Bake Off’s Maggie the Seaside Baker’, a name many of you will likely recognise after Maggie shot to fame as a beloved contestant in the most recent series of The Great British Bake Off!

There are just 50 tickets available, each costing £50*

Tickets can be booked through Eventbrite or alternatively, please book by ringing the charity’s office on 01722 326834

The fundraising event will be hosted in the Garden Room of Cranborne Garden Centre in the beautiful Dorset countryside (BH21 5PP).

The day will begin at 11am with coffee and biscuits (made by Maggie herself)! At 11:30am, guests will be seated for approximately one hour, when all those attending will have the opportunity to hear all of Maggie’s best behind-the-scenes Bake Off insights. You will have the chance to submit questions for the discussion when purchasing tickets, so this unmissable event truly is every GBBO fan’s dream!

As well as savouring all that Maggie has to say, guests will also be able to enjoy a light buffet lunch freshly made using local produce in the Cranborne kitchen, which will be served at approximately 12:30pm. For dessert, there will be a selection of delicious cupcakes, also all baked by Maggie specially for the occasion.

After lunch, those with tickets will have the opportunity to appreciate the stunning spring sights of the Cranborne Manor Garden too. The 16th century Manor House has exceptionally beautiful gardens, laid out by the 17th century gardener John Tradescent. The gorgeous garden was a filming location for the 2020 Netflix film, Rebecca, based on the acclaimed book of the same name by Daphne du Maurier. Guests can therefore expect a real horticultural treat.

The venue is accessible to wheelchairs but please note that there is a small section of gravel to navigate.

We’re very excited to be welcoming Maggie the Seaside Baker to the Horatio’s Garden family and are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Cranborne Garden Centre this spring too!

* Price excludes Eventbrite booking fee which is non-refundable
