THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT:

We are absolutely delighted to welcome the iconic actor, writer and globetrotter Michael Palin for our opening launch night for the Norwich Film Festival which is proudly supported by Norwich BID.

Michael started his career as a television writer for shows such as The Frost Report. He's fondly remembered as a founding member of one of the best known comedy groups in the world - Monty Python and helped to create not only Monty Python's Flying Circus but films such as The Holy Grail and Life of Brian.

Since his Python days, Michael's film credits have continued to flourish with critically acclaimed films such as A Private Function, The Missionary, A Fish Called Wanda, Fierce Creatures & Brazil. He's also presented some of the most memorable travel documentaries in the world. These include Around the World in 80 Day's, Pole to Pole, Sahara and Brazil with Michael Palin.

Not only do we get to hear from the great man himself, we are also screening the brilliant British film A Private Function (1984). Run time (92mins)

Please note tonight's Q&A will follow the film, and we are honoured to welcome Peter Bradshaw (Writer and Film Critic for The Guardian) who will be leading this Q&A.
