Please note: The refundable deposit of £10 is to avoid no-shows for this event due to limited capacity and high demand for tickets. This will be refunded within 7 days after you check in at the event, or it can be redeemed against a purchase at Mark+Fold. If you do not attend, we regrettably cannot offer a refund.

About the event

British designer and Great British Sewing Bee judge Patrick Grant joins Amy Cooper-Wright for an evening exploring craftsmanship, sustainability, and the future of making. Friends since their Oxford days, the pair share a commitment to honest, local production — a philosophy embodied in their Mark+Fold for Community Clothing collaboration. The range repurposes denim offcuts from Community Clothing’s Lancashire factory into zero-waste notebooks with 100% recycled covers.

Grant and Cooper-Wright will discuss the importance of storytelling in making, supporting UK suppliers, and designing with integrity. The new notebooks will be available to purchase at the event.

What to expect

A 20 minute talk followed by Q&A and informal discussion.

Opportunity to browse and purchase the notebooks. The £10 ticket deposit is refundable or redeemable against purchases on the evening.

Mark+Fold Celebrates 10 Years

Independent British stationery brand Mark+Fold marks its 10th anniversary with a Shoreditch pop-up at 228 Brick Lane, E2, from 12–25 November, celebrating a decade of craft, collaboration, and the great things that happen when ideas are put down on paper. The event will feature the 2026 range, core products, and a programme of talks with leading creatives: author Huma Qureshi, who drafted her memoir in a Mark+Fold notebook; fashion designer and broadcaster Patrick Grant; and artist and textile designer Margo Selby.
