In conversation with Pauline Daniels. Honorary Fellow Liverpool John Moores University.
As part of its in conversation series LJMU is proud to welcome back Honorary Fellow Pauline Daniels star of stage, screen and radio. With her customary frankness, warmth and humour Pauline will be talking about her beginnings as a comedienne, working the tough clubs of Liverpool and the North West, her work as a singer and starring in Musical theatre and her development as a serious actor and performer on stage and TV. With songs and readings from the show throughout, Pauline will tell and perform her story from stand-up to Shakespeare and speak honestly about the personal battles and triumphs along the way. Interviewed by old friend and colleague Andrew Sherlock of LJMU’s Drama Department and with whom she worked at the Everyman, this will be an evening to savour the remarkable career of one of Liverpool’s favourite female performers with more than a few laughs guaranteed along the way.
