Join the Friends of Equate Network for our next lunchtime event, In Conversation with Sarah Lewis — an inspiring discussion with one of the UK’s leading voices in sustainable architecture.
Sarah Lewis is a Passivhaus Architect, Author, and Co-Director of the UK Passivhaus Trust. A passionate advocate for sustainable design, she promotes low-energy building practices that reduce the environmental impact of the UK built environment. Sarah is also a Passivhaus Trainer at Coaction, author of PHPP Illustrated, and was named Sustainability & Environmental Woman of the Year at the European Women in Construction and Engineering Awards.
In this session, Sarah will reflect on her career journey in sustainable architecture, her work leading the Passivhaus movement in the UK, and share practical tips and insights for women looking to get started or progress in Passivhaus construction and design.
💬 In our conversation, we’ll be asking Sarah:
- What are the key skills a Passivhaus builder needs to master?
- How can someone transition into Passivhaus construction or design — and where should they start?
- Are there any initiatives supporting women to enter or upskill in Passivhaus construction?
- And how did her career path lead to the Passivhaus Trust and her passion for sustainable building?
Expect an informal, inspiring conversation packed with career advice, real-world insights, and motivation for anyone passionate about building a greener future.
