Description
In Conversation with Vickie Cammack
We’d like to invite you to a conversation on technology and care with Vickie Cammack, the founding CEO of Tyze Personal Networks, scheduled for Thursday 30 May 2013 at Nesta.
Vickie is an internationally acclaimed social entrepreneur. She is a Rockefeller Next Century Innovator, winner of the Meritorious Service Medal of Canada and a recipient of the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her work in the field. After establishing PLAN, a Canadian advocacy organisation for families caring for someone with a disability, and the Family Support Institute, she was named as one of Canada’s 100 most powerful women. Vickie writes and speaks internationally on social networks, organizational transformation and scaling social innovation.
Vickie will be talking about why she thinks we need a whole new approach to care. She’ll present her ideas on how we can use technology to organise and activate a network model of care. And she’ll also share some of her stories from life as an entrepreneur.
Geoff Mulgan, CEO of Nesta, will interview Vickie and there will be the opportunity for the audience to submit questions in advance of the event and via a Q&A session at the event itself. If you cannot attend in person, the event will also be live-streamed from 6pm on our website.
