Acclaimed actors Viggo Mortensen and Lance Henriksen will join us to talk about their new film, Falling.

About this Event

As one of Hollywood’s most recognisable actors, Mortensen has appeared in an impressive range of films, from The Lord of the Rings to A History of Violence. Falling, his directorial debut, tells the powerful story of a father and son as they navigate new and profound difficulties in their bond through the father’s dementia. Also starring Laura Linney and with a cameo from David Cronenberg, the film has been hailed as a “a valuable work” and “a very substantial achievement”.

Starring as Willis, the father to Mortensen’s John, Henriksen’s career spans decades, and has seen him work with titans of the industry including Stephen Spielberg, James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow and John Woo. His performance in Falling has been credited as “the meatiest role of his astonishing career”.

The two actors will be joining journalist and critic Simran Hans to discuss Mortensen’s debut as a director, the story behind the film, and their extraordinary and varied careers to date. They will also be answering your questions in this livestreamed event.
