An hour of conversation, insight and guidance

About this event

The Inside Out community has openly shared with us the challenges they face in leading and managing their in-house creative teams. To help overcome and unlock just some of these, we have enlisted the help and support of two leading authorities, David Wethey and Alan Thompson, who will share their insights into how In-house creative teams can really thrive and achieve creative success. As brands continue to move their creative resources from relying on external agencies to internal capability, what are the lessons to be learned?

Hosted by Emma Sexton, this virtual creative surgery will examine, discuss and offer guidance on the challenges you have expressed, including…

  • How do we become strategic partners rather than reactionary order takers?
  • How do we effectively operate as an internal agency?
  • How can we better manage workflow and expectation across the business?
  • How can we get the business to see the value in creative work and creative thinking?
  • And what does it really take to build and maintain a sustainably high performing in-house team?

Who are Alan and David?

Alan and David are two individuals that have a wealth of experience, both managing agencies, and in identifying and managing talent to work in agencies and alongside brands. This experience has been gained from establishing their own agencies as well as working in independent and holding company owned organisations. Alan and David have come together under the Hay/stack Brand to turn that experience towards in-house agencies, to help them develop their skills and capabilities, leaning on the best of lessons learnt from external agencies, whilst adapting them to make the most of the culture within brand owning businesses.
