Adopt South West aims to find safe, secure, permanent homes for children who are unable to live with their birth families.

Our information events are a great way to find out more about adoption but are not for you if you are looking to adopt a child that you are related to - please check out the Partner Adoption section on the Adopt South West website for that information.

These 'In Person' Adoption Information Events are being set up across the Adopt South West region. If you are a couple you will both need to attend but you only need to book one ticket per household.

If you are a single person you are welcome to bring along a family member/friend for support to this event and they won't need an additional ticket.

You can talk to adoption social workers and families who have adopted, watch a presentation, find out more about the application process and get your questions answered.

The areas and dates where these 'In Person' Events will take place are:

Wednesday, 9th April 2025 - 6.00pm to 7.30pm in Exeter.

Wednesday, 21st May 2025 - 6.00pm to 7.30pm in Plymouth.

Wednesday, 18th June 2025 - 6.00pm to 7.30pm in Bodmin.

Wednesday, 9th July 2025 - 6.00pm - 7.30pm in Taunton.

You will be emailed the venue address, 14 days before the event you are booking.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before this start time in order to access the venue and settle in before a prompt 6pm start. All of the venues will be accessible for everyone.

Tickets will be for a limited number of households depending on the room capacity at the venue so if you are not able to attend your booked event, please can we ask you to cancel your ticket so that someone else can attend.

If you do have to cancel your ticket please check our Adopt South West Website for some advice regarding booking onto one of our On-line Information Events that are also available and will give you the same opportunities as this 'In Person' event.
