Frequently asked questions

Is the venue easily accessible?

The Hive is fully accessible to wheelchair users, mobility scooters & pushchairs. There are lifts to all floors & ramp access to all areas on each floor. Clear signage on the walls and adjacent to each lift with Braille underneath. There are disabled toilet facilities on every floor.

Where can I park?

Crowngate Shopping Centre car park opposite The Hive is a ticketed multi-storey car park. Shop mobility is available on level six. Exit the car park into the shopping centre on Level 2, leave the shopping centre & follow the footpath access across The Hive's bridge to the main entrance.

Is there disabled parking nearby?

Cattlemarket pay and display car park is directly in front of The Hive. 21 designated blue badge disabled bays are available along the near side of The Hive facing the building. There is a ramped access way signposted all around the side of The Hive leading directly to the main entrance.

Is there a Drop-Off Point?

An easy access drop off point can be found on The Butts lay by. Use the public outside lift to access Sawmill Walk to bring you to the main entrance. Drop off is also available in Cattlemarket car park.

Can I reach the venue by public transport?

The Hive is conveniently located in the heart of Worcester, adjacent to the main (Crowngate) bus station & a short walk (4 minutes) from the Foregate street train station. Turn left out of the station & take the first right onto Shaw Street which then becomes The Butts. The Hive is on your right.

Is there bicycle parking?

Cycling is a popular way to get around the city. The Hive has two bicycle park areas on its grounds, one located directly opposite the main entrance and the other under the viaduct next to Cattlemarket car park.

Do I need to book?

Yes, booking is essential. Booking is available here for in-person attendance (includes refreshments after the lecture). For virtual (on-line) attendance, please use the other event listing.

Can I attend just for the start of the lecture?

We would appreciate it if all attendees could arrive for the start of the event and not part-way through the afternoon as the latter is disruptive to the meeting & timings for this event are approximate. Please be assured that we will keep our business meeting as short as possible!
