About this event

Please join us for an in depth look at our new exhibition, Guildhall Library 600! This exhibition celebrates the 600th anniversary of the founding of the original library at Guildhall. Our Senior Librarian Melanie Strong will share the stories of the objects in the exhibition including our oldest book, medieval manuscripts, early printed books as well as Victorian and modern publications and why they were chosen for this exhibition. We will delve deeper into the history of the original library and what recent scholarship has uncovered about how the library was used, as well as when it was founded and the changing story of what happened to the original collections.

In-person: For access to the event, please use the Aldermanbury entrance to Guildhall Library/The London Centre.
