ABOUT THE PERFORMER:
Swannee Vranckx is a self-taught artist from Belgium with a background in modelling, dress & props making, millinery & photography.
She presents her avant-garde & surrealistic ideas on stage inviting you to share a story. Her signature act ‘Spider Glamour’ draws inspiration from her love of dress making and arachnids, lending their threads to complete her works. Obsessed with vintage fashion & history, she finds a lot of inspiration in the 1920s, 1930s & 1940s & uses vintage aesthetics for all her acts.
She performed at events & locations such as Neil Kendall’s Halloween show (U.K.), Reptile, The Rhythm & Riot, The Chelsea Arts Club, the Antwerp Burlesque Festival (Belgium), La Coupole in Paris (France), etc. All the costumes are handcrafted by Swannee including her trademarks “Giant Spiderweb Fans” and the “Snake Boa” (both designs are registered with the Intellectual Property Office).
