About this event

  • 2 hours

Technology and electronic devices are a real bone of contention for many families today. Teens are often on their phones, or games consoles more time than parents would like, and it can be hard to understand why teens seem so fixated on them! It's also common that parents feel concerned about what their teens are watching and engaging with online. With so much access to information and potential negative influences on the internet, it's no wonder parents can feel powerless and afraid for their teens when it comes to e-safety, screen time and their general use of technology.

In this workshop, we're going to be debunking the myths that surround technology and equip you with the tools to navigate this new technological landscape we find ourselves in with your teen, so they can be safe, happy, healthy users of technology and consumers of content.

By the end of the workshop, you will have learned:

• The myths around technology and teens

• Tools for helping your teen use technology safely and responsibly.

• Tools for navigating challenging situations with technology and your teen.

• How to set healthy boundaries around technology in the home.

• How to connect with your teen around their use of technology.
