Join us to examine local news items from the 18th century onwards and learn more about the development of newspapers in Norfolk.

About this event

Norfolk has given the world its fair share of headlines down the years. But why have certain news items caught the public imagination, and how does a local story make it into the history books? Join us for a rare opportunity to examine local newspapers from the 18th century onwards as we explore these questions and more.

This free event will take place in person at the Vernon Castle Room, Norfolk Heritage Centre (on the second floor of the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library), and is inspired by the British Library's "Breaking the News" exhibition.

Booking is essential. To attend in person, book here at norfolkheritagecentre.eventbrite.co.uk or email heritagecentre@norfolk.gov.uk.
