In the Dark x Grant Museum of Zoology is a yearlong collaboration celebrating the natural world through sound.
If you’ve ever been woken up by the sounds of foxes vigorously copulating next to your recycling bin then you’ll know we’re not the only animal to call our cities home. But is there more to urban wildlife than foxes and pigeons? Join us for evening of communal listening (imagine a cinema just without the pictures) as we explore the sounds of urban wildlife with Alison Fairbrass from UCL’s Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research.
Inspired by Alison’s research recording the biodiversity of London we will play a specially created crowdsourced soundscape of urban biodiversity along with a selection of specially created hand-picked audio from around the world.
In the Dark invite you to join them in the Grant Museum after hours and close your eyes for an auditory exploration of the animals that call the city their home.
