Description

Book launch

Join us for a special evening event to launch In Their Own Words: Volume 2. This new volume brings together another enticing collection of correspondence sent by and concerning those who took part in some of history’s most momentous events, from Anne of Cleves to Mary Whitehouse, via Horatio Nelson and Oscar Wilde.

There will be a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival and the event will be hosted by Erica Wagner, renowned author and critic, with readings from the book provided by special guests including actor Stephen McGann. A number of the book’s contributors will also be present to talk about the letters that they chose and why they think they are so significant. This event has been generously supported by Bloomsbury.
