A walk around the pleural space
Respiratory disease results in over one million hospital admissions a year and costs the NHS over £6 billion. Many of these admissions are due to diseases of the pleura (the lining of the lung). The evidence base for managing pleural disease has historically been poor. This talk will highlight a number of recent advances evaluated by randomized controlled trials.
