Event description

Description

All processes, chemical and physical, occur with a change in heat – it follows that by measuring heat changes any sample can be investigated. In this lecture, Professor Gaisford will take you on a journey of adventure and discovery, highlighting in particular how he has used calorimetry to investigate bacteria, leading to the development of a new approach for tackling the problem of antimicrobial resistance.

This lecture will take place in the Maplethorpe Lecture Theatre and will be followed by a reception.
