What connects the way we move, the places we explore, and the books we cherish? In this illuminating talk, Vybarr Cregan-Reid — author of Footnotes, Primate Change, and We Are What We Read — weaves together his journey through running, nature, and literature. From the biomechanics of our bodies to the stories that shape our minds, he explores how reading enriches our lives, deepens our sense of self, and helps us navigate a rapidly changing world, and to wring deeper meaning from the short time we have. Thoughtful, personal, and deeply engaging, this is a celebration of what it means to live fully — body, mind, and soul.

Biography:

Vybarr Cregan-Reid is a writer, academic, and (occasional) broadcaster exploring the connections between literature, nature, and the human body. He’s the author of Discovering Gilgamesh, Footnotes, Primate Change, and most recently We Are What We Read, blending memoir and cultural criticism to examine how movement, environment, and reading shape who we are.
