Including Your Community in the Development Process

What to expect from this session: How do developers and publishers build a reciprocal relationship with elements of their community and what are the benefits and pitfalls of this? At any scale, a positive relationship with your community is a long-term aid, and one that can provide in-depth insights, increased player retention and growth. However, it can also be a tricky road to navigate as it relies on building and managing expectations. Bringing in examples from video games, tabletop games and the public sector, Game Design Researcher Richard will walk through these experiences with you.

About Pathway UX Research: Pathway UX Research aims to bridge the gap between a creators vision and the player experience. Enhancing and de-risking games that have heart and soul invested in them. Bringing expertise from Rockstar Games, the creators of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption – some of the most commercially successful and complex video games of all time, Pathway UX Research brings an ingredient of that success to other games in the tabletop and video game spaces.
