Course Aim:To inspire Activity Providers to plan and deliver celebrations and festivals that are inclusive, joyful, and rooted in the lived experiences of the people they support. The course encourages creativity, adaptability, and connection to make every event meaningful for all.
Learning Outcomes:By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of festivals and celebrations in promoting wellbeing, identity, and community.
- Plan inclusive activities that reflect the diverse backgrounds, interests, and needs of individuals.
- Involve residents in decision-making and preparation to promote ownership and participation.
- Adapt activities to meet a range of cognitive and physical abilities, using sensory and creative approaches.
- Confidently deliver events that feel personal, inclusive, and truly celebratory.

Certificates of attendance will only be issued to attendees who attend for the whole of the session.This course will be delivered via ZOOM and will include, presentations, discussion and reflection, case studies, videos and demonstrations. Please make sure that you are familiar with using ZOOM.
