Inclusive By Design: Embedding inclusive practice for OFSTED school inspections

Have you wondered how the updated Ofsted framework (November 2025) changes the way inclusion is evaluated?

Do you want to understand how inspectors will judge provision for pupils with additional needs under the new criteria?

About the Session

This session provides a clear and practical exploration of how the new Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) 2025 shapes expectations for inclusion in state funded schools.

This session equips staff with the knowledge and tools to meet Ofsted’s new expectations around inclusion. We examine ways in which schools can embed inclusive pedagogical practice across curriculum to meet inspection standards (including wellbeing) to ensure every pupil thrives.

This will help schools prepare to demonstrate strong standards in inspection areas while genuinely improving classroom experiences for all learners.

Session Summary

This session explains the framework’s emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing, curriculum quality, and achievement, and shows how schools can evidence strong practice. It is delivered by Paul Hargreaves who is currently supporting schools with navigating the new framework.

We share practical strategies that align with Ofsted’s evaluation areas, helping staff to confidently demonstrate impact during inspection and, more importantly, improve pupil outcomes.
