Description

INCLUSIVE CASTING WORKSHOP - SCRIPTED GENRES

Wednesday December 11 2019 from 1100 to 1300
Venue: Pact, 153-157 Cleveland Street, London W1T 6QW

A practical session for scripted producers to gain an understanding of tried and tested tools and frameworks for improving representation and inclusion on-screen.

This interactive workshop will give drama producers practical ideas and frameworks to embed inclusive casting in their productions. It is also an opportunity for companies to formulate their own internal strategy and approach to inclusive casting.

We will be considering diversity in its broadest sense - gender, sexuality, ethnicity, disability and social mobility.

The workshop includes:

  • Neropa – a practical tool for creating gender parity

  • Opening roles to all ethnicities

  • Authenticity

  • Accessibility

This two-hour workshop has been designed by Pact and Minnie Ayres (pictured below), COO of TriForce Creative Network, (creators of MonologueSlam UK)
