Wren Music presents:

Inclusive Ceilidhs: Folk dance without barriers

Friday 31 October – 10.30am-3pm

Studio 1, Exeter Phoenix, Gandy Street, Exeter, EX4 3LS

An event for all those interested in celebrating diversity and folk dance!

This is a chance to meet the Wren team who have delivered this Inclusive Ceilidhs project, including members of the specially put together band and the Equity, Disability and Equality (EDI) support group who have used the lessons learned through the project to embed diversity throughout the organisation.

There will be presentations from leaders in the inclusive ceilidh movement in England, and a chance to hear about developments in social folk dance in both Newfoundland and Latvia – and a chance to do some dancing.

Wren Music will present their tool kit for inclusive ceilidhs that has been developed over five ceilidhs and there will be a panel discussion about why we believe this work to be important.

The Inclusive Ceilidh project is by Arts Council England National Lottery Projects with outreach work supported by The Clare Milne Trust

A buffet lunch is included. Free to attend but donations welcomed.
