Join the ACT team and Steven Sahota from Hope for the Future to discuss how we can reframe the conversation around climate action
About this event
To create more effective climate communications, we must speak to everyone . Yet, communication about climate related issues - from home energy, to personal finance, to ethical consumerism, are too often framed in terms of privilege, sacrifice or youth.
This leaves many feeling excluded - from older people, to working class audiences and those from multi-ethnic backgrounds - leaving them vulnerable to misinformation.
This webinar will explore these themes with Steven Sahota, Hope for the Future. In this fireside chat, we'll cover:
• How long term, collaborative approaches can build trust and strengthen climate narratives
• Working with trusted messengers
• Building resilience within climate communications
Hope for the Future is a climate charity which works to equip communities, groups and individuals across the country to communicate the urgency of climate. Their vision is to see communities and their elected representatives across the UK come together to take decisive action on climate change.
This webinar is brought to you by ACT.
