About this Event

At this event you will have a chance to share:

  • Your thoughts on inequalities and barriers to inclusive education in Wales
  • Your experiences of inequalities in education in Wales
  • Your views on what the priorities need to be to improve inclusive education and outcomes for everyone
  • Your solutions on inclusive education in Wales

By inclusive education we mean:

  • education at all levels – nursery, infant, junior and secondary schools; home education; colleges; universities; and life-long or community learning
  • Education that adapts to the needs and circumstances of each person, including their equality characteristics
  • Education that delivers the same results and outcomes for different people and where everyone has the same chances

Is this event for me?

We welcome people from all diverse backgrounds including:

  • Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people
  • People of colour
  • Gypsies, Roma and Travellers
  • Asylum Seekers and Refugees
  • Disabled people. This includes: o People with mobility impairments. For example, wheelchair users or people with health conditions that affect walking. o People with sensory impairments. For example, Blind, Deaf, or hearing-impaired people. o People with learning impairments / disabilities. For example, autistic and neuro-diverse people or people with dyslexia, dyspraxia, or Downs Syndrome. o People with cognitive impairments. For example, people with dementia or hydrocephalus. o People with long-term health conditions. For example, HIV, diabetes or MS.

  • People who are pregnant or have recently given birth

  • Carers (people who provide unpaid care or support to a friend or family member)

  • And people from different socio-economic groups or classes

We also welcome community groups and third sector organisations with an interest in equality and diversity or representing any of the groups above.
