Inclusive Lego for Children

Aims of the group:
The group will use theoretical basis of LEGO Therapy, which was designed to help children on the Autistic spectrum practice social communication skills in a fun and friendly way. The groups focus on helping children develop and build on verbal language skills, joint attention, sharing, turn taking and other social communication skills such as collaborative problem solving.
Who is it for?
LEGO Therapy was initially designed for children on the Autistic spectrum, however over the years they have been successfully used with children of various needs and abilities.
If you child does not fall within the Autistic spectrum but you think he/she will benefit or simply enjoy the group please come and join us :)
Who will be running the group?
My name is Sara and I am a qualified Play Therapist with years of experience working with children of various abilities and needs. I will be planning the groups aiming for them to be a fun and safe space for the children to grow and learn.
Please note that we will be using LEGO® bricks which are not suitable for children under 5 years, with some tasks age 7 and above.
