Inclusive Planning in London – Stakeholder Summit
Event Information
Description
The planning system was set up to ensure that everyone had access to a good home in healthy and thriving communities. Today this is under threat. Join us to discuss how the planning system can help to tackle poverty and inequality, and to more broadly contribute to creating socially inclusive communities.
Through our Planning for Inclusive Communities in London project, supported by Trust for London, the TCPA is exploring the effectiveness of the planning policy framework in London in contributing to delivering inclusive communities. The TCPA is also developing a programme of training and engagement events with community and voluntary sector groups and with the public sector on the potential of the planning system to create sustainable, diverse and fair communities in London.
At this interim stage in the project, the purpose of this summit event is to share the emerging findings of our research, bring a range of stakeholders together to collectively explore the multiple links between planning and social inclusion, and to invite input into shaping the next stages of this project.
